Bio
Hi, I’m Olivia! I’m a passionate organizer for TEDxLasVegas, where I get to work with amazing individuals who share ideas that can change the world. Being part of the TEDx community has been an incredible experience, and I’ve also previously contributed to the TEDxFremontEastDistrict team.
In my day-to-day life, I’m a sustainability professional and a graduate student in Sustainability and Biomimicry. I work as an Environmental Specialist at Clark County, leading a climate education program that supports the County’s Sustainability & Climate Action Plans. My expertise is in program implementation, education, event planning, and building partnerships with key stakeholders. I'm driven by the mission to make Clark County cool, clean, and resilient in the face of climate change!
Outside of my role at Clark County, I also serve as the Conservation Chair for the Red Rock Audubon Society and as a chapter leader for the Climate Reality Project. I’m certified in Zero Waste practices, hold a UN Climate Change Learning Partnership Certification, and am part of the Urban Ecology Cohort, where I focus on diversity and connecting people with nature.

The TED story
I'm incredibly excited for TEDxLasVegas! Las Vegas is not only the entertainment capital of the world but also a vibrant hub for creativity and innovation. Our upcoming TEDx event promises to be a powerful platform for sharing bold ideas and inspiring change.
Reflecting on past events, like "Succor the Southwest" in 2022, it’s clear that TEDx is about more than just ideas—it’s about bringing local issues to the global stage. That event focused on the challenges facing the Southwest, while highlighting community-driven solutions that could have a worldwide impact. It was a remarkable moment where regional conversations connected with the global dialogue.
I can’t wait to see how this year's event will continue that legacy and push the boundaries of what we can achieve together!
