I am Rose Mibu, a student of grade 11 at The Choice School. I’ve always been particularly interested in TED and TEDx talks because each and every talk is extremely different and has always brought about a change in the way my mind thinks. I believe that TED, where Technology Entertainment and Design converge, is a platform for anyone with an idea that can bring about change. But the reason to why TEDx events are so very successful is because I believe that the organisers are what makes it a success. The diverse themes and creativity that they bring into the event is what truly keeps the event going, and that is one of the reasons to why I applied for a TEDx license. I live in a community where people have brilliant ideas, but do not have a platform to share it. With this event, we look forward to unearth local voices so they too can inspire. I am passionate a 10th grader who looks forward to make sure that this event is filled with ideas worth spreading. And as a grade 11 student I also like having fun, so as the organiser of this event, I also promise a day filled with laughter and fun!
