David Wallerstein

David A.M. Wallerstein, Chief eXploration Officer (CXO) and Senior Executive Vice President, joined the Company in 2001. He drives the Company's active participation in new and emerging technologies, business areas, and ideas from his base in Palo Alto, California. Mr. Wallerstein has worked on building Tencent's international footprint and entrance into new business areas since 2001. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Wallerstein worked with Naspers in China, responsible for investments and strategy. Prior to that, Mr. Wallerstein worked as a management consultant in China. Mr. Wallerstein received a Master’s degree from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
