About Åsa

Bio

I am the Managing Director of TEDxGöteborg and love building up our growing community. TED.com have inspired me for many years and when I was headhunted to joint the TEDxGöteborg team 3,5 years ago, i jumped at the opportunity. Now I am the Managing Director of this community in Gothenburg, Sweden, and it is growing rapidly. I love co creation, open source and sharing experiences. I love mixing different people with each other, getting them to network to see what comes out. That is why I want to continue doing TEDx events. My vision is to build our community and make it grow even stronger, by continuously organizing TEDxevents to create a platform for people to meet and share. I am an entrepreneur and am currently the CEO of A Win Win World, a global co-creation platform for more action towards a sustainable future. We initiate project, both in Sweden and international, to get people to act more sustainable. Last year we launched a network called Nudging Sweden. It is a network that aims to initiate, manage and promote behavioural change for a sustainable future, using nudging as a method to do so. I have a long history of Project Management and event production in both Sweden and London, working with teambuilding events, big world congresses, corporate events and large public events. One of my most major achievements is as General Manager for World Transplant Games- a world championships where 1800 transplanted people from 54 nations visited Sweden to compete in 13 different kinds of sports.

The TED story

My 3 favorite TED talks: Simon Sinek- "How great leaders inspire action" http://www.ted.com/talks/simon_sinek_how_great_leaders_inspire_action This talk is my favourite. I watch it once every month and incorporate his model in everything I do- both personal and business. Hans Rosling- "The best stats you've ever seen" http://www.ted.com/talks/hans_rosling_shows_the_best_stats_you_ve_ever_seen The amazing way of showing this stats, I love seeing his passion. Kelly McGonigal "How to make stress your friend" http://www.ted.com/talks/kelly_mcgonigal_how_to_make_stress_your_friend This has completely changed my life, in the way I act and think with regards to stress. It also inspired watching the way she spoke and presented her talk.
