I'm passionate about
I am a very well rounded person. By studying information and computer science, I have explored technology through an academic lens. Fashion is also a huge passion of mine, and I've immersed myself in self-started clubs and internships to learn more about the industry. I've also always been a performer, taking on theater and singing since a very early age and carrying it with me until today. I am an award winning journalist, and have been recognized for beholding impressive writing prose. My linguistic passion also contributes to my differing interests as well, where I grew up speaking Greek and learning fluent Spanish. Lastly, I have been a dedicated kickboxer since my freshman year of high school, and love the rush I get from participating.
An idea worth spreading
The theme for our TEDxUWMadison 2023 event was “Defining The New Normal”. As society begins to move on from COVID-19’s initial impacts, it is critical that the aspects of life most transformed from the pandemic continue to be discussed. Without the continuation of these dialogues of understanding, we as society run the risk of losing
these invaluable lessons and limiting our collective wisdom. The three stemming focuses from “Defining The New Normal” are mental health, business, and activism.

The TED story
I began watching TED talks when I was younger at the request of my acting instructor, who valued the immense presentation talent and impact the speakers held throughout their talks. Since then, I have found myself captivated by so many different areas of interest, and have loved how TED talks enhance dynamics of speech and education through the power of presenting. What I love most about TEDx talks is their ability to bring together people from all backgrounds, careers, and experiences, and how these people can all seamlessly intertwine their stories to paint a larger picture. As the president and lead organizer of the 2023 TEDxUWMadison event, I hope that the audience absorbed information on many different subject cores through the admirable speakers and their talks.
