Bio

As a Global Practice Area Leader for the Tech Sector, Amanda leads the effort in identifying emerging trends and key drivers that impact the landscape of organizations in their business strategy, design philosophy and future innovations. A licensed Interior Designer and LEED AP, Amanda brings a technical and environmental expertise to every project. With a versatile background in programming, planning and design, she develops strategies for work environments that uniquely reflect each client's core values, vision and business strategies. Her work spans across a diverse range of industries and clients including TED Conferences, British Airways, Omnicom, Pitney Bowes, Blackstone and Convene. Her recent tech work includes Etsy, IAC, Hulu, Mediaocean, Adobe, Ampush and IBM. In 2013, at the age of 29 Engineering News-Record named Amanda a 'Top 20 Under 40' in the Tri-State Area, which recognizes individual’s excellence in their fields and efforts in giving back to their industry and communities. Locally, Amanda is involved in CoreNet Global, where she was the Co-Chair of the Young Leaders Committee (2012-2014), and IIDA, where she founded IMPACT NY, an annual fundraising event benefiting the nonprofit organization desigNYC. Within Gensler, Amanda leads gConnect, a global program that that focuses on growing new relationship leaders and mentoring the firm’s promising young designers and architects. Amanda has been featured in prominent design publications including Interior Design, Contract, Metropolis, where she led a team of designers in the 2013 ‘Workplace of the Future’ competition to the top 10 finalists, and most recently, Architectural Record where Convene 101 Park was recognized as 1 of the top 10 projects in 2014 where 'Good Design Is Good Business', an award to demonstrate how embracing design can benefit an organization’s bottom line. In June, Amanda was the only speaker representing a design firm at the Northside Innovation Festival, Brooklyn’s answer to SXSW.gensker
