I met with a group of a few women in a local coffee shop to discuss enriching our community by finding speakers with new and interesting ideas and to create a forum for those ideas to be heard. One of us realized that we didn't need to reinvent the wheel-that's what TEDx is all about! TEDxTarrytownWomen was born (we decided to stream live from the TEDWomen 2015 conference in Monterey, California). The rest is history.
