Bio
I am an enthusiastic, positive person who wants to change the world!
I studied Business Administration at the University of South Africa and went on to do my Honours in Brand Communications at Vega in Cape Town.
I then decided I wasn’t ready for a “real job” and headed off to South-East Asia and Australasia exploring those regions for two amazing years. I taught English in rural Thailand and volunteering at various places from a family-owned subsistence farm in Northern Thailand to a well-run, government subsidised youth volunteer organisation in Dunedin, New Zealand. Along the way I was exposed to the huge discrepancy in the lives of people living in different regions of the world and realised I wanted to align my career with helping narrow the gap.
Enter a technology start-up in Cape Town.
I have worked at Nomanini since I got back home over three years ago. We build tools to facilitate cash payments in informal markets I work at Nomanini because we are building technology that has the potential to change the way people transact. Our technology enables greater access to essential services so many take for granted - electricity, water, finance and telecommunication.
The best part of my work is the sense of being part of something big and having a real impact on the company and its customers.
I have gained huge insight into what it takes to start a successful organisation and I hope to use these skill to found my own company in the future.
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about technology and the transformation it enables for individuals, communities and the world.
