The TED story
My pre-TED 2015 story: Married for 33 years to my best friend and the man I loved, the father of my children and grandchildren. Busy working as publisher in San Francisco specializing in design and technology, leading several trade book and online course imprints, looking forward to a future with my husband we worked so hard for. My post-TED 2015 story: A year of intense grieving the loss of my husband and trying to make meaning out of what was a random and brutal murder while he was hiking his favorite trail near our home; the killers were identified by witnesses, but are still at large. My TED story today, 2016, is "Starting Over" -- I can't think of any better way to start over than to attend TED.
