Bio

Nicky Faeth is a seasoned businesswoman and experienced communications professional with expertise in diverse sectors ranging from international relations and politics to entertainment. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Nicky earned dual degrees in Global & International studies and Latin American & Iberian studies, receiving several research awards. While in college she became close with many distinguished mentors, most notably Barbara Bodine, the former Ambassador to Yemen and Diplomat in Residence at UCSB. After being strongly influenced to immerse herself in international affairs, Nicky accepted several prestigious internships with the U.S. Department of State, The World Bank and at the White House in Washington D.C. Upon graduation, she was appointed to a political position at the U.S. Department of Commerce in 2004, where she served as a presidential appointee to the Minority Business Development Agency. During her tenure, she collaborated with the White House Public Affairs Office to plan and coordinate numerous press events to highlight the agency’s efforts and promote minority business practices. While at the Department of Commerce, she was nominated by U.S. Secretary Carlos Gutierrez to the Embassy of Spain's "Young Hispanic Leaders Program" and was also selected by the American Council for Young Political Leaders to serve as political delegate in Central America. Nicky's passion for the performing arts took her to the Entertainment industry in 2006 where she joined the Hollywood powerhouse William Morris Agency. She quickly scaled the ranks from mailroom clerk to talent agent trainee. As a talent agent trainee, one of her career highlights was when she designed and executed a highly successful celebrity charity event that was showcased as the major philanthropic highlight of 2008 for William Morris on KTLA-TV Channel 5 News. When William Morris merged with the Endeavor Agency, she agreed to follow her boss to United Talent Agency, where she became intrigued by the world of consumer behavior, brand management, and entertainment marketing strategy. In 2010, she was fast-tracked to Department Coordinator of the United Entertainment Group, where she managed day-to-day entertainment marketing campaign executions ($10M-$20M operating budgets) for Quaker and Build-A-Bear Workshop. During her tenure there, revenue increased dramatically and she was recommended and accepted to Georgetown’s Master of Public Relations and Corporate Communications Program. While attending Georgetown as a graduate student, Nicky was offered a position at Edelman’s Washington D.C. office to support the International Public Relations team. In 2012, Nicky was recruited to join BigSpeak Speakers Bureau in Santa Barbara, CA as the Global Events Manager, where she planned and executed over 350 events per year. She was the exclusive logistics coordinator for high-profile clients such as Exxon Mobile, Ford Motor, Hewlett-Packard, United Health Group, Wells Fargo, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald's, Microsoft, PepsiCo, and many other Fortune 1000 Companies. Her strong grasp of how to best reach target audiences and her unique ability to translate vision into strategy has been at the core of her success. Nicky was promoted to Agent and given the duty of addressing the needs of corporations, associations, non-profits and government agencies by providing inspirational speakers and subject matter experts. In 2015, Nicky left the company to start Momentum Entertainment Agency. In addition to her full-time career, Nicky remains active in high profile community activities and is very committed to giving back through philanthropy and volunteer work. Ms. Faeth is the Chairman and Founder of the First Star Junior Board. She has also served on the Junior Board of Directors of Lollipop Theater Network and has volunteered as an after school tutor since 1996. She is currently a member of the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara and The National Press Club.
