Tara Black is the Founder and CEO of Origin Gluten-Free Bakery and Origin Bakery Franchisor. She is passionate about providing for her community and is committed to mentoring those to do the same in theirs. Tara is a professionally trained Chef and Pastry Chef, having worked in the hospitality industry in BC, Canada for over 30 years. She also holds her Masters in Executive Management and certifications in Global Leadership. Using her diverse experience she works with various organizations to strategically grow and lead. Tara has mentored over 45 talented humans in the culinary fields and business endeavours. She is motivated to work with people that want to bring new experiences and gain expertise and then share with others. Tara came to the TED community through her involvement with TEDx Royal Roads University in 2022/23 and is excited to again be in leadership with Lara Scott for TEDx RRU this year! TED is such an amazing platform to showcase fantastic and engaging ideas and share them with passionate audiences!
