I have worked with many fun organizations on a volunteer basis. Salt Lake Center for Spiritual Living, Big Sky Retreat, and TEDxSaltLakeCity are the most recent, covering the past 10 years. Sales and business management are things I have been doing since I was a small child. I had a natural inclination towards these things. I have always enjoyed meeting new people and find this a fun field. I have also been a photographer since I was a very young child. I loved art and the joy of seeing the photos come together. Video is a newer experience for me, however, it seems to be a natural process for me. I have really been enjoying creating short videos and playing with the editing software to create the videos. I'm self-taught on all of these things and have a great skill for seeking out the supportive information needed to build new talents.

I fell in Jan 2017 and sustained a serious concussion that I still play with sometimes. I was very debilitated and was only conscious a few hours per day - I was still struggling most of the day over 5 years later. During this time I fought with all the strength (literally) I had to fight with. I even put a picture of Guinevere, with her blade back and in motion ready to strike, in my phone to remind me to keep pushing my limits. I used this time to take advantage of the re-growth to heal my brain. I spent every minute I was awake creating nutrition for my brain, listening to information that would take me where I wanted to land when I recovered, and forcing myself (to the best of my ability) to keep trying to learn - even though I couldn't remember most of the things I tried to study. Retention was really just not good, maybe 10%-20% in the long run. I could learn something new within a 2-3 week time period - anything longer than that seemed to disappear and I had to start over. If I didn't continue to use it, it disappeared. It wasn't a total waste of time, however. During this time I learned how to setup my Sassy Jo Creations, Inc. corporation papers - some of it almost cost me a few thousand in taxes and penalties, but they helped me fix it when I told them what happened. I created my logo's and my structure for my classes. I found my equipment for audio & video production company. I built my Business Model Canvas and my Vision for my company. I found myself setup over a 4-5 year period so that when my function improved I had a business to build. My function has improved enough that I am planning to work part-time doing some classes and creating some videos this year. If all goes well you can see me launch my business officially in 2024.
