Uyen Tieu

Uyen Tieu is the president of NationSwell and a key thought leader in corporate transformation and social impact. From her time as a strategy executive at Microsoft and Viacom, a divisional lead at CNN to a co-founder of a technology platform acquired by BNY Mellon, Uyen brings an operator lens to advising corporations and investment firms in driving scaled social impact in alignment with business goals. Uyen co-leads NationSwell, an executive membership and advisory firm that has been the quiet helper to some of the most influential minds in social impact, serving a diverse council of change makers and a community of practice with executives leading ESG, CSR, sustainability and purpose-driven cultures at the largest corporations, investment firms and philanthropies. A first-generation American born to war-refugees, Uyen has been defined by her parents' enterprising spirit and unflinching belief in building for a better future. From an early start in Kansas to shrimping in the bayous of Alabama, her family relocated to California at the beginning of the .com boom. Uyen graduated from Yale and Columbia Universities and calls New York City her forever home.
