The TED story
My professional life has always been connected with TED. As an English language teacher I spend hours and hours on ted.com to prepare for my classes. To keep modern students interested I need only up-to date, original, «never heard before» ideas expressed in good English, so TED provides this great combination for me to apply widely in my English classes.
The second stage was when my students and me were so amused by the ideas and speakers that when we heard about Tedx Astana we bought tickets to Astana to watch the event I reality. We liked it so much, as that was a wonderful combination of TED traditions and our local pequalarities, and I met in person TEDx Almaty Larisa Pak.
The third stage was when start thinking why not to try to organize the event myself at my university. Now the event is coming closer and I hope that TEDx Caspian University will be great event for out community.
I hope that I will be able to reach the forth and even the fifth stage: I dream not only about regular TEDx Caspian University turned to be a tradition but to change the scale of the event: I am planning to organize TEDxAlmaty one day. The event for more than 100 people will be new challenge in my life and it will make people’s life more intelligent and developed.
