Danielle D. Duplin, President FreeWind Productions, is a coach for public speakers, a curator for strategic events, and a catalyst for innovation. She partners with leaders to help them 'own the moment' on stage, and works with companies and communities to produce vibrant programming that moves audiences and achieves business goals. Danielle helps clients give oxygen to ideas, forge social capital, and accelerate the adoption of breakthrough solutions. Danielle is a Producer for HUBweek Boston, a weeklong series of 100+ unique events at the intersection of art, science, technology and culture, founded by MIT, Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital and The Boston Globe. Prior to launching her own company, Danielle served as Vice President at Fidelity Investments, and Executive Producer at the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT). Danielle founded Fidelity Global Seminars where she led cross-functional teams to design and produce over 600 innovation events and coach over 1,200 speakers. The seminars explored emerging trends in business and technology that informed, inspired, and connected Fidelity's 40,000 employees with educators, experts and entrepreneurs worldwide. Danielle pioneered unique ways to share ideas and engage employees including innovation challenges, hackathons, and design thinking and experiential learning workshops. Danielle was the on-air host for Infofest, an annual enterprise-wide festival of interviews with thought leaders and showcase of applied technologies. For five years, Danielle created, wrote and was the on-air host for 'Telefest', an internal TV series on Fidelity's strategic initiatives for which she earned an international Telly Award. Danielle is Cofounder and Curator for TEDxBoston, an annual independently organized TED event that features iconic thought leaders and rising stars whose revolutionary ideas are tackling global issues. To date, TEDxBoston videos have been viewed over 20 million times worldwide. Danielle coaches TEDx curators, provides keynotes, and teaches workshops on “How to Deliver at TED-Worthy talk”. In her previous technical roles as Director of Engineering, and Principal Software Engineer, at Fidelity Investments, Danielle and her teams designed and deployed novel applications that helped debut Fidelity as the first financial services company on the Web, launch a benefits outsourcing business, and effectively harness advanced technologies for core services. Danielle volunteers for organizations that spur economic growth through entrepreneurship and innovation. She chairs the steering committee for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Working Cities Challenge that awards grants and mentorship to low-income cities who are collaborating across sectors on systemic changes that revitalize their communities. She is an advisory board member and connector with Boston World Partnerships; a delegate with City2City on domestic and international civic policy missions; a mentor for MassChallenge, the world's largest start-up accelerator; and co-chair of the annual MassTech Leadership Council unConference that draws 1,000 key influencers in Boston’s innovation ecosystem. Danielle serves on the board of directors for Design That Matters, a nonprofit that creates cost-effective medical devices for resource-limited countries. Danielle began her career as a Principal Software Engineer at Eaton Corp. in NY, followed by assignments at American Science & Engineering in Cambridge, MA, and MIT Lincoln Labs in Bedford, MA. Danielle earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science with a concentration in Theater Arts at the State University of New York at Binghamton, and executive education and innovation courses at MIT Sloan School of Business.
