I am passionate about developing high performing leaders and designing and leading high performance organizations.
An idea worth spreading
Every leader should act like a mini-GM and CFO. Hire only the best and always hire your replacement, treat every dollar like it's coming from your wallet/purse, and invest early in the non-sexy infrastructure needed to do this; don't wait until infrastructure is unavoidable and then try to "catch up".

Global Management, Human Rescources and Employee Development, Leadership Organizational Development, M&A Due Diligence, M&A Integration, Organizational effectiveness
The TED story
I started my career in HR during the the dot com era in the Silicon Valley. At the time I was unsure if I would stay in HR given during the "bust" I seemed to be fumbling my way through a lay off every quarter. I eventually moved to a large, more stable company and discovered the joys of working with large HR teams with actual budgets, and the true growth potential of the field. I decided to go back to school and get my MBA as I learned quickly that to truly be an effective business partner (an emerging concept) , I would need to know the language. Once I had my MBA from Berkeley I found my options became endless. During my career I've worked as a "one woman" HR team at small start up companies and I've worked at companies with 120,000 global employees. I love working in HR, it affords me the opportunity to work with all walks of people and through every interaction potentially impact their professional lives in a positive, lasting way.
