Bio
I find culture and language, sociology, adventure and imagination to be the backbone of living.
Such a journey when I look back to my Junior year abroad living in Germany studying language, culture and emerging in the society. Also in college I continued exploring during summer semester in Israel and Jordan. Here I explored my curiosity in visiting my ancestral lands to gain understanding of the Middle East. My Syrian heritage has always been the magical piece of my inner self.
In the most recent years I served our US Government as a Federal Analyst and Agent, I often work as a corporate accountant and I am CFO for #DQD Inc. an Education Non-Profit. Currently I practice business finance in Corporate America.
Through teaching I am able to foster innovation and sustainable practices in education while teaching for the Deer Valley and Fountain Hills School Districts.
I believe in strengthening inter-connected communities and fostering sustainable systems practices in both business and community.
What led me to TED is my curiosity and it drives my "WHY" leading me to become the organizer for TEDx Fountain Hills.
DQD Inc, which I run with Co-Founder Samantha Morton and Our Board with former members such as Alyce Hastings and Lisa Ristuccia, has served the local Arizona education market for over two years. I participate in #YESPHX, the Phoenix Startup Week where AZ is the third major US city to join the campaign and Events for Hope.
My professional relations include House of Genius AZ, Networking Phoenix, User10, BGHS FBLA, Trendsetters Through Education of Fountain Hills and many local affiliations with small business.
My Masters In Business is in International Business and Finance from the Western International University. I hold a B.S. from WP Carey School of Business in Accountancy from ASU. My extended executive training is facilitated by BGI who in January 2014 became partners with OSR (Organizational Systems Renewal) under the umbrella of Pinchot, a university for the common good, who offers an innovative MBA, a MS in transformational leadership, certificates and entrepreneurship programs that prepare learners to address the challenges of the future.
I implore Think Tanks and Learning Labs and was extensively trained by the Academic Consortium for Global Education (ACGE) who has alliances with 25 major US Universities creating sustainable and innovative ways to bring new ideas to our world. www.acge.org

The TED story
It is simple I started out learning for work as I researched with ACGE and the University staff. The ideas reminded me of the child like curiosity inside of myself. Now "I won't stop believing" as my favorite song sings.
Things you might not know
Being still. I am so busy that it appears I don't stop and once I am still the earth becomes so soft in silence if I walk near to anyone it becomes startling.
