Bio
Jim was an early participant in the collision of the television and digital media worlds, and over the years, he has produced and developed products and programs for nearly every variety of digital media ranging from television to interactive videodiscs, CDROMs, interactive television, OTT and the Internet. Jim's skills, interests and background reflect the curious and diverse elements of digital and television media: content and video production, technology and software, and business management. He's happiest when he is in the eclectic chaotic center of all those things at once.
Jim is currently a strategic leader for Synamedia, creating the next new way to engage with television while figuring out what is yet to come. Besides his day job, he is working to find ways to help use his media experience to improve the attitudes and understanding around wellness and how we can integrate everything from meditation and yoga to the latest medical advances into our lives in a healthy and spiritually evolved way.
He has been a senior executive in media companies including Amazon Prime Video, A+E Networks, Canoe Ventures, Synacor, Net2TV, Women.com Networks, CBS and others.
Jim has an MBA in Marketing, and Masters and Bachelors degrees in technology, and holds two patents in the use of computers in music. He is active in a number of industry initiatives and organizations, and serves on various Emmys Boards including the National Trustee and 1st VP of the NY Chapter of NATAS.

The TED story
I've been coming since TED3 and have so many memories of moments that inspired and illuminated me that I can't even recall them all. Billy Graham, the Mars Rover, Jennifer Lin, Jill Bolte Taylor and on and on..... It's my annual trek to reinvigorate my thinking and open my mind.
