I'm passionate about
I am passionate about all things equity. In 2020, I started a hip hop cycle class to promote "sweat equity." Understanding that boutique cycle classes are typically quite expensive, the cycle classes were affordable and all proceeds were donated to local causes. Covid-19 put the classes on pause for a bit, but I am excited to ramp them back up soon!
I am also passionate about serving my community. I sit on the executive board of Thrive-Ed, a non-profit school rooted in education transformation through co-collaboration and restorative justice, bringing a DEIA lens to the school’s mission, approach, and delivery of services. When I am not at work or in board meetings, I support a local high school as the girl’s assistant basketball coach.
