I'm passionate about

Placmaking, neighborhoods that encourage kids to be outside playing and exploring nature, bright colors, the arts, front porches, farming, delicious food, reading books, plants, community, immigration, accessorizing, fresh cut flowers

An idea worth spreading

Small cities, big differences. Small cities together in a network of mutual support could tackle the challenges of physical inactivity, social isolation, climate change, and economic prosperity by creating an extensive network of multi-use trails that allow people to bike safely anywhere they need to go.

The TED story

TEDxBradenton combines many of the things I care about most - bringing people together, my adopted hometown of Bradenton, inspiring ideas, creative thinkers, and unique event experiences. When Evelyn approached me about helping organize, I couldn't have said "no" even if I wanted to ... and thankfully she would not take no for an answers. After listening to dozens if not 100s of TED Talks online, it has been a remarkable experience to plan our own version of TED in my beloved community.
