My TED story began when I first discovered TED talks online. I was captivated by the incredible speakers and the amazing ideas that they were sharing with the world. I knew right away that I wanted to be a part of it, and I began dreaming of giving my own TED talk one day. However, as I began to research the process of applying to be a speaker, I stumbled upon the opportunity to run a TEDx event instead. The idea of curating an entire event was daunting, but it also seemed like an incredible opportunity to bring together a community of people who were passionate about sharing ideas and making a difference in the world. I decided to take the plunge and apply to run a TEDx event. To my surprise, I was selected, and suddenly I found myself with the immense responsibility of organizing an entire conference. As I began to work on the event, I realized that I had never actually attended a live TED event before. My first experience with TED would be the one that I was curating myself. I feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness, but I am determined to create an incredible event that would inspire and educate our audience. Over the months of planning and preparation, I worked with a team of amazing volunteers to bring together a diverse lineup of speakers and performers, each with their own unique perspective on the world. We are tackling topics ranging from technology and innovation to social justice and the environment.
