About Isha
Bio
Isha Akolia is a third-year undergraduate biology student
on the pre-medical track from Edison, New Jersey. She is
passionate about the complexities of the healthcare system
and exploring innovative solutions to pressing issues in
the field. She volunteers at local hospitals and clinics and
participates in social work and charitable events as part of her
goal to become a physician who advocates for patients and brings positive change to the system. She also has a deep-rooted love for nature and being active outdoors, which further fuels her passion for promoting health and wellness in her community. Isha’s passion for positive change is reflected in her work at TEDx JeffersonU, where she leads a team of like-minded individuals striving to spread innovative ideas and inspire change. Her goal, through TEDxJeffersonU, was to create an event that explores the intersections between healthcare and other fields, such as technology, business, and Philanthropy. She
hopes that individuals can gain a new perspective and witness how the speakers at the upcoming TEDx JeffersonU event, themed “Redefine Possible, have shattered barriers and redefined the limits of what can be achieved in their lives.
