Bio
Kené is the recipient of the 2022 Black British Business Person of the Year award.
He is a trustee of Leaders Quest, Count Us In and Joseph Rowntree foundations.
Kené is Tesco’s Responsible Sourcing Director leading the company’s human rights, packaging and food waste reduction agenda. Prior to this, he was Tesco’s Head of Environment and Campaigns Director for ten years. He led Tesco to switch to 100 per cent renewable electricity, roll out UK’s largest retail network of electric vehicles charging points, launch sustainability innovations, and Tesco’s roadmaps to fully electric delivery vans, zero deforestation soy and sustainable tuna.
Kené volunteers as a mentor for young talent from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK.
