An idea worth spreading
Throughout my teaching journey, I've witnessed firsthand the profound impact of nurturing self-confidence, particularly amidst the challenges faced in less developed countries. In these contexts, the educational system and economic constraints often act as formidable barriers, hindering students from fully realizing their potential.
The TED story
It all began with a transformative moment: the viewing of a TED video during a Yázigi Convention, igniting our collective curiosity towards information management. From that pivotal moment, I integrated TED videos into my High School lesson plans. This sparked a journey of involvement, leading me to participate in TED Ex events within my community and join the TedEd Club. Over time, our school has hosted five successful seasons of the TEDEd club, extending its reach to bilingual private schools.
In 2017, an extraordinary opportunity arose when I attended a TEDEd weekend in New York. The highlight was the announcement of translation into Portuguese. This groundbreaking development saw numerous schools in our area adopting the program in their native language. Additionally, I have actively contributed to TEDx São Paulo, presenting the TEDEd club to the audience on three separate occasions.
My commitment to TEDx events extends beyond São Paulo. I volunteered and sponsored two editions of TEDx Indaiatuba, and this year, I am honored to serve as the organizer, leading a dedicated team of 14 individuals.
