Lara has a wealth of mentoring and facilitation of career readiness & soft skills workshops such as Work-Life balance & Time Management, Planning & Organizing Effective Meetings, Self-Management and Team Management, Design Thinking and Innovation, Interviewing, Team Building, etc. Lara is recognized for her exceptional organizational skills, efficient workflow, strong troubleshooting skills, and consistent performance within challenging environments. She has been in academia for more than 15 years and has delivered university academic courses and workshops since 2009 in writing, public speaking, argumentation, career readiness, and entrepreneurship. Lara’s dedication and hard work as a professional, along with her strong academic background, has allowed her to develop effective strategic thinking, management skills as well as an ability to multi-task. During her role as the director of the career center, she planned, drafted, and implemented a strategic plan which served students, graduates, and alumni. She was able to enhance the center’s communication strategy, partnerships, facilities, student engagement, and training programs related to career skills and nurture the entrepreneurial mindset at the university with several success stories. Her willingness and thirst for continuous progress played a vital role in gaining International recognition and being part of one of a leading projects for youth empowerment and higher education capacity building. In line with her innovative and systematic facilitation techniques, and various expertise, she has demonstrated the ability to build a positive work environment and has a proven track of having stamped positive impact at all levels within the institution. She was part of L’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and Higher Education Capacity Development Program. Lara is a lifelong learner who has received certificates from Florida State University and Education Development Center, TED, and other credible sources. She believes in always upskilling and reinventing oneself especially amid challenges. She has also organized a successful TEDx event and has been selected to participate in TED Global 2015 and TED Summit in 2019, she is a licensed TED Circle host. Her confident, energetic, assertive personality and eagerness to seek excellence make her workshops and training programs highly flexible, effective, result oriented, interactive project based, and online friendly.
