About Miwa
Bio
I believe I have a rather unique career within the conservative Japanese business environment. I started my career as a biochemist at Tokyo University, but decided to pursue my career in the economic world, and after working at an advertisement agency as a marketing planner, became a Certified Public Accountant. After working at Arthur Andersen and gaining experience in the finance area, I extended this career as a venture capitalist at Schroder Ventures, then joined Bain & Company, a worldwide management Consulting firm. After working on various multi-national companies’ management issues as a partner in Bain, I was appointed to become professor of Keio University, and left Bain and became independent. Currently, I am further expanding my activities besides management consulting and education to supporting venture companies, writing books and articles, or giving lectures.
I'm passionate about
From my experience in growing up in Australia, I have strong positive belief and expectations in the potential strengths of Japan.
