Jawad Aslam

I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, USA and after completing my MBA opted to travel to Pakistan to better understand the country of my parents, my religion and culture. After completing a degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies I returned to the US to work on high end real estate in the suburbs of DC. Not finding the satisfaction I was seeking, my wife and I decided to move back to Pakistan and I started working at an Acumen investee that focused on affordable housing….and I never looked back. Currently I run the only private sector affordable housing development company in Pakistan. I am a Global Acumen Fellow and a member of their Advisory Council. I live in Islamabad with my wife and three girls.
