Born in Bermuda from a British mother and German farther, raised in Brussels, studied in Oxford and married to an Indian wife with two kids living in Brussels. Founder, Chairman and Chief Hyperthinker ;) of ZN, I studied at the University of Oxford, where I read Philosophy, Politics and Economics. In my last year I founded and ran Oxford Student Radio, making me the youngest MD of commercial Independent Local Radio in the UK. For this I was awarded the Young Achievers Award from HM the Queen. I came to Brussels in 1998 and set up ZN (www.zn.be) , looking at how to adapt business and communication strategies to the Internet age. Since then I have worked with leading companies and communication agencies, exploring the challenges and opportunities they and their clients face on the internet and how best to take advantage of the possibilities it creates. I developed the concept of 'Hyperthinking as a tool to help his team and clients adapt their thinking to the web. So far my TED story is a TEDx one. I was involved in the early stages of the launch of TEDxBrussels, being fortunate to meet the people instrumental in getting off the ground at the beginning. I have been helping in different ways to get it off the ground - from the glamorous role of the time keeper in the first one (www.tedxbrussels.eu) and getting my for minutes of fame on stage to helping with the registrations on the second one. Fun, exhausting and inspiring. Can't wait for the TED Global experience.
