Dr. Kerry Ann Zamore

I am a University Professor, Clinical Social Worker, Filmmaker, Educator, Author, and lifelong learner, but most importantly, I am a wife and mother. I have used my education, experience in theatre, and passion for the arts to create spaces, which utilize live theatre and films to inspire and strengthen our communities. I am a graduate of The University of Maryland with a focus in Education and Psychology, a Master’s degree in Education, Training, and Facilitation from The University of Phoenix, and a second Master’s degree in Social Work and a Doctoral Degree also in Social Work from the University of Southern California.

Life! I believe we should all find our purpose in life and truly live it out loud and in color. I am passionate about education in all forms and I love the idea of the creative arts as a part of learning in all facets of education.

We are all becoming something, it is up to us to determine what and who we become.

I have always loved listening to and watching TED Talks with my students. I often had my students practice TED-like presentations for their assignments. As an educator, I have found it to be very informative and entertaining. It is another innovative way for students to learn and explore new ideas.

I am good at being "ON", but I am actually an introvert. Most people assume because I am involved in so many things I am an extrovert, but I am not. I enjoy the quiet moments on the porch with my laptop or a good book. I love people, but I am also drained by being with too many people.
