Bio
Becca Heller is a human rights lawyer and Executive Director of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP). Together with IRAP’s vast network of legal advocates, Becca works to advance the rights of displaced people through direct legal services, impact litigation, and systemic advocacy.
Since co-founding IRAP while in law school in 2008, Becca has pioneered the field of refugee rights, leading IRAP's crucial response to Trump’s Muslim ban and the Afghan human displacement crisis. She has received numerous awards, including a MacArthur Fellowship and The Charles Bronfman Prize, and is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Yale Law School.
