I'm passionate about
As a passionate educator, I strongly believe in teaching everything from the basics step by step. My goal is to help my students build a strong foundation and develop a habit of learning that they can carry with them throughout their lives.
Whether I'm teaching maths, English writing, arts, or computer science, I strive to ensure that my students have a clear understanding of the concepts and can apply them in real-world situations. By emphasizing the importance of fundamentals and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills, I hope to inspire my students to become lifelong learners and achieve their full potential.
Ultimately, my passion for teaching is rooted in the belief that education is a powerful tool that can unlock doors to opportunity and shape the future of individuals and society as a whole.
An idea worth spreading
An idea worth spreading is to enhance student creativity. By providing students with opportunities to think outside the box, develop unique solutions, and express themselves creatively, we can help them become more innovative and successful in the future. By promoting creativity in the classroom, we can also help students develop important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication, which are highly valued in today's world. So let's encourage our students to explore their imaginations and express themselves creatively!
The TED story
As a teacher and computer science curriculum leader, I've always been passionate about helping my students develop their skills and confidence in coding. However, I've found that many people are hesitant to try coding because they believe that it's too difficult or not for them.
That's why I decided to share my story and insights with the TED community. In my TED talk, I talked about my own journey in computer science and how I learned to overcome the challenges and obstacles along the way.
I also shared practical tips and strategies for anyone who wants to learn to code, emphasizing that coding is for everyone and that anyone can learn it with the right mindset and approach.
My talk to my teachers' community received an overwhelmingly positive response, with many people reaching out to me to share their own experiences and to thank me for inspiring them to pursue coding.
Since then, I've continued to share my passion for coding and education with others through various speaking engagements and workshops. I am grateful for the opportunity to have shared my story on the TED stage and to have connected with so many like-minded individuals who share my passion for learning and growth.
Things you might not know
As a computer science teacher, I am passionate about helping my students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in this exciting field. One of my greatest challenges has been convincing people that coding is for everyone, regardless of their background or experience.
Through my teaching, I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and empowered to learn. I believe that everyone has the potential to be a great coder, and I work hard to help my students see that potential in themselves.
