Bio
Juliet Schor is an economist and sociologist at Boston College. Her research focuses on the intersection of work, consumer society and climate change. Author of the New York Times bestseller The Overworked American, she is currently
studying four day week trials taking place around the world. She has also done extensive research on the sharing and gig economies and the link between working hours and carbon emissions. Schor’s other books include After the gig: how the sharing economy got hijacked and how to win it back and True Wealth. She has received numerous awards including Guggenheim and Radcliffe fellowships as well as the Leontief and Herman Daly prizes in economics.
