Spoken word artist, poet, writer, public speaker and talk show host Isaac Yamie is proof that art can speak for itself and a positive mental attitude is contagious. To Yamie, art is a vehicle for communication that can bring about positive change in the society and this can be seen in his writing and spoken word performances. "Express, not impress" is his personal mantra that informs his unique perspective on life and art. His creative path is certainly not short of highlights which include a Ted talk (TedX CIU 2017), hosting popular talk shows in North Cyprus such as Ultimate Peace Talks, and being a founding member and director of the Poets On An Island collective. A devout Christian, Yamie also involves himself in volunteer work and community projects. His love for art is what powers him to create and he details it all in an autobiographical recollection known as "The Stone".
