Bio

I am a young twenty-four-year-old enthusiast who wants to bring a positive change to the world by spreading the ideas that are boxed inside me. Currently, I am majoring in International Relations at Kinnaird College. I am also an avid debater, a public speaker, and a keen researcher. I have also served as an editor of a magazine named The Diplomatic Insight.

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about bringing a positive change to the world. My International Relations degree has opened my eyes to innumerable things such as Sweden championing a feminist foreign policy while on the other hand women in Afghanistan battling for their basic rights. I am passionate to see a world where gender equality, diversity, and inclusivity become a norm at every corner.

An idea worth spreading

The last two years of the pandemic have jolted the world and produced new problems that were unknown to us before. These crisis circumstances shaped our minds and brains in ways that did not exist before. They sowed seeds of revolutionary ideas which led to innovations and breakthroughs giving birth to opportunities. Thus even during these dire times, some opportunities were borne out of the crisis. There was a boom in the I.T industry. The fields of medicine and science also witnessed innovations. In addition, education was revolutionized along with jobs as every activity shifted online. Thus we need to discuss how crisis can be replaced with opportunities, pessimism with optimism and so on.

The TED story

I used to watch videos of TED on YouTube which instilled in me a great desire to organize a TEDx event myself. It was not until 2019 when I started the University that I attended my first ever TEDx event physically which was TEDxKinnaird. I became part of the organizing team and worked under the curator. In 2020 I became part of the core management of TEDxKinnaird and also part of the Sponsors Team whose job was to approach and deal with sponsors. In 2021 I attended TEDxGCULahore. This year I got the licence to organize and curate TEDxKinnaird.

Things you might not know

People do not know that I am good at belly dancing. I learned belly dancing through videos on YouTube since I do not have an academy or teacher to teach this to me physically in my city. It is fun and exciting. All one has to do is to master controlling the movements of his/her/their certain parts of bodies and shake them in a way that sends waves through their thorax or abdomen or both.
