The TED story
Having worked in the technology community throughout my career, I am familiar with TED talks as a number of people I know and admire have presented at TED conferences. Additionally, I live in a wonderful community where people regularly volunteer, participate in local initiatives, and openly ask others to join in. I was asked to get involved in TEDxWilmette by a person I originally met over 15 years ago when our daughters were in grammar school and Girl Scouts together. Our paths have crossed a couple of times since then, and she sold be on the idea of bringing TED talks to our community.
I have been active in the TEDxWilmette community since 2019.
