Bio
I am a high school student in Bucharest, Romania. I am currently taking the IB diploma and am in 11th grade. I am 16 years old and my nationality is North Macedonian. I am a third culture kid and have been living away from my extended family my entire life. Most of my time has been spent here in The American International School Of Bucharest, for a period of ten years.
I'm passionate about
Reading and writing have always been a passion of mine, a way of escaping reality and constructing my own world. But apart from literary passions, I do enjoy sports such as volleyball, and a passion of mine most people know about is the environment. Being an eco council leader in my school has really allowed me to make the small necessary impacts and changes our school needs. I as well am fortunate enough to meet with other schools to discuss this issue while working with the CEESA school community.
An idea worth spreading
One TED speech that really spoke to me is Dylan Marron's' Empathy Is Not Endorsement', it really encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and approach situations in a different light. And is a TED talk I try and show everyone!
The TED story
I signed up during my school announcement and am excited to push forward new ideas and advocate for people's voices and expression. It has always been part of my dream to work with Ted and possibly create my own speech, yet organizing an event sounded just as rewarding.
Things you might not know
A big passion of mine was developing my artistic and creative abilities. I truly believe that everyone is creative in the first place, yet it takes a lot of courage and bravery to articulate it. I have been in many theatre plays and performances, as well as countless musicals hosted by our school.
