I am an award winning senior news reporter for VICE World News, based in London, as well as a TikTok creator with over a quarter of a million followers. I pioneer how social media can be used in storytelling and newsgathering, and I report on everything from the Vogue cover that hid a chemical plant to conspiracy theorists gaming the TikTok algorithm.
I spoke at the UN in New York about climate change once - in fluent Arabic - and am keen to connect with activists and change makers to report on ahead of COP26.
I’m also the author of Losing It: Sex Education for the 21st Century, which will be published by Harper Collins next year. It’ll debunk the cultural myths you learned about sex, that your sex ed never helped you unlearn - and fights for a world where conversations around sex, in and outside the classroom, equip us to challenge power and gender stereotypes.
