Bio

I am a highly skilled, multidisciplinary professional, having handled diverse projects and consultancy services at various times. I have single-handedly made recommendations to the United Nations General Assembly on curriculum development in human settlement tertiary institutions of various countries. I have actively participated in professional associations in Africa and Europe. I am a strong team player and I can easily work to tight schedule on individual assignments. I started my professional career in Architecture as a Lecturer in December 1992. I have since enlisted in different professional associations where I have contributed through executive and membership roles over the years. My career is a blend of academic, corporate and consultancy services. I have developed key leadership skills over the years.

I'm passionate about

I'm passionate about empowerment programmes - training and equipping youths and other marginalised groups to take control of their own future

An idea worth spreading

I believe that at this stage of human development, anyone and everyone should live a level of comfort, irrespective of their origin or background. Being of African origin, I strongly believe that the future of Africa is in giving appropriate education to the African Child. This is not necessarily the university education that is so expensive and unaffordable, but it is a sound authentic training at primary and secondary schools with inspirational talks that re-awaken the individual. Everyone can dream big if in the right environment. Most accomplished people on earth today are not university graduates. Ironically, there are many university professors with no material success. The African Child needs a well-grounded primary and secondary education. This should be supplemented with weekly inspirational talks by an accomplished entrepreneur. They will start producing inventors who would transform Africa. Well trained teachers in well-equipped primary and secondary schools is all we need

The TED story

I am working to host TEDxCobridge in early 2015 - precisely on 17th January 2015. It's about Cobridge community in Stoke-on-Trent City, Staffordshire, United Kingdom. An exciting community to live in, but I observed a strange feeling among the youths. They are exciting to get along with, but they do not feel happy to belong in the community. The Cobridge Youths programme is focusing on creating a more inclusive and actively participatory community that would systematically bring the diverse groups together and celebrate the cosmopolitan richness of the community. This is set to be in parallel and on-going thing with TEDxCobridge being a quarterly event that would be a celebration of "Ideas Worth Sharing."
