Associate Dean and Director of World Food Center at University of California, Davis. Also hold Sesnon Endowed Chair in Sustainable Agriculture. Research interest includes nutrient requirement of livestock and reducing impact of livestock on the environment. Contributing author to 2019 IPCC update and co-chair of UN FAO committee on methane and feed additives. Received several awards and authored over 250 peer-reviewed articles and over 150 invited presentations. Educated in Asmara, Eritrea (University of Asmara) and UK (University of Reading).

Reducing methane from livestock

Reducing methane now helps us buy some time by slowing down global warming in the short term. Let’s do all we can to achieve this including using feed additives to cut methane burps from ruminants significantly.
