Bio
Chris Abazis is an entrepreneur, business coach, and TEDx organizer focused on helping ideas—and the people behind them—take shape in ways that feel authentic, grounded, and impactful.
His work sits at the intersection of decision-making, leadership, and human behavior, with a particular interest in how people move from intention to action. Across coaching, events, and community-building, Chris is known for creating environments that encourage clarity, curiosity, and forward momentum without unnecessary pressure or polish.
As a TEDx organizer, Chris is passionate about curating experiences that honor both the rigor of TED’s guidelines and the humanity of the speakers. He believes the most powerful ideas are not just intellectually compelling, but emotionally resonant—and that great talks are built through trust, collaboration, and thoughtful refinement.
I'm passionate about
I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe enough to think clearly and brave enough to act honestly.
That includes helping speakers find the heart of their ideas, supporting leaders as they navigate uncertainty, and building communities rooted in curiosity rather than performance. I care deeply about conversations that move beyond surface-level inspiration and lead to genuine insight, connection, and change.
I’m especially drawn to work that balances structure with humanity—where rigor doesn’t come at the expense of warmth, and where growth is grounded in self-awareness rather than hype.
An idea worth spreading
Many people believe clarity must come before action, but in practice, clarity is often created through action.
We tend to wait—for confidence, certainty, or permission—before moving forward. Yet some of the most meaningful decisions and breakthroughs happen when people are willing to engage before everything feels fully resolved.
By learning to act with intention in moments of uncertainty, individuals and communities can build trust in themselves, adapt more quickly, and create momentum without needing perfect conditions. This shift—from waiting for clarity to generating it—can fundamentally change how people approach growth, leadership, and everyday decision-making.

The TED story
My connection to TED began as a participant and viewer—drawn to the rare combination of intellectual depth, storytelling, and shared humanity that great talks create.
Over time, that interest evolved into a desire to contribute more directly by helping shape the conditions that allow strong ideas to surface. Organizing TEDx has given me the opportunity to bring together speakers, coaches, partners, and community members around a shared commitment to thoughtful dialogue and meaningful impact.
For me, TEDx is not just about individual talks—it’s about cultivating trust, encouraging curiosity, and reminding people that ideas truly do change things when they are cared for, challenged, and shared responsibly.
Things you might not know
Creating calm in moments that feel overwhelming.
Whether it’s supporting speakers as they refine vulnerable ideas, helping leaders make difficult decisions, or navigating the many moving parts of a live event, I’m particularly skilled at slowing things down, asking the right questions, and helping people reconnect with what actually matters.
That steadiness often becomes the foundation for better ideas, stronger collaboration, and more confident action.
