With a background in glaciology and climate change research, he has led numerous expeditions in polar and Himalayan regions, focusing on mass balancing and weather data studies. From serving in the Indian Navy's Special Forces to founding the Mountaineering and Allied Sports directorate, Satyabrata has a diverse career that spans leadership roles in extreme environments. As a global motivational speaker and corporate coach, he excels in developing leadership and team-building skills, guiding clients to conquer the highest peaks, and coaching individuals from extreme athletes to business leaders. Passionate about sustainability, he also engages in green activism and sustainable projects globally.

Extreme mountaineering, traveling and writing are my passions. Hovering constantly at the border between life and death I realize that any moment can be my last hence thats the way I live.

Pursuing my adventures and chasing my crazy dreams I have gone around the world several times and each time I wished the national boundaries would dissolve. I met kindhearted and kindred souls at the most unexpected places who offered me sustenance, strength and encouragement where I had lost all. I discovered that the charm and delight of the mysterious, of what we do not know and can't expect by far exceeds the assurance of knowledge. My greatest learning from my travels has been the acute realization that this world is indeed a big single planet where every nation and every continent is beautiful. God has not been more or less kind to any region. People are good everywhere, only caught in difficult circumstances. National boundaries exist only in our hearts and not on land. Grass everywhere is green as snow everywhere is white. People smile when you smile and welcome you with open heart when you open your heart as well. So lets spread the idea of a world without boundaries

I am a globetrotting thrill seeker looking for places with mountains and attempt to climb the highest spot of any place I visit. My life on and off the edge is all about believing in my dreams, holding my life in my hand, swinging out my ice axe into the fuzzy unknown, with complete faith in myself and the elements, and finally emerging out alive at the top, only to stand on an insignificant piece of rock or a forlorn patch of ice. Risking my life and limbs repeatedly, putting everything at risk on one single move, on one tiny ant sized piece of ledge or rock, one insane leap, one single frozen second, one gravity and definitely logic defying upward push… nothing to hold on to, or to hold me back. If I fall, I go but if I don’t then I am euphoric. I am not happy living one life. Dying a million times and living million lives in this one I fulfill my infinite dreams. Welcome to my vertical world where physical and mental limits are redefined and stretched to breaking point every day.
