I'm passionate about

Bringing women and girls together to help each other along their journeys. Providing individuals with the tools and "space" to invest in themselves and believe in the possibility of achieving their dreams. Education and investing in continued personal growth for individuals to become their best self and a better citizen.

An idea worth spreading

I want to flip the narrative on "a woman's worst enemy in the workplace is another woman". I believe there is an innate solidarity that exists and when given the forum, the tools, and the network we can move mountains together and lift each other up as individuals in the process.

Areas of expertise

Career Development, Change Management, Corporate Culture, Leadership Development, Learning and Development, Self Development, Strategic Foresight, Talent Centric Strategy

The TED story

I was first exposed to TED over 10 years ago when my Company paid for a dozen virtual seats to view the big TED annual conference. I sat in a session with Dr. Anthony Atala speaking about 3D printing human organs. I was mesmerized and crying tears of joy...my younger brother died in 1996 waiting for a liver / kidney transplant and I was overjoyed by what this could mean to all the families who are held hostage over the transplant list...waiting to see if they or their loved one would get a fighting chance. From that moment I was hooked on TED...a place where ideas were shared and that people connected and found inspiration. I've attended local TEDx conferences in the cities I've lived in here in the U.S. and around the world. And one of these days...hopefully...I too will stand on the red dot sharing an idea. But in the meantime...I will continue to find inspiration from others. There isn't a single session I've watched where it hasn't sparked some kind of idea or inspiration in me about something I'm working on...even if the topics aren't the same. I'm very excited to share in this experience this December and look forward to the ideas that are sparked for me through other amazing women.

Things you might not know

winging it...just making it up as I go along. I think people believe I always have a plan and have things mapped out. But I'm actually quite comfortable with taking a chance and winging it when I need to...I actually find that's when my most amazing accomplishments surface. In fact, I think a lot of people don't realize when I'm rolling with it and making it up as I go along vs when I'm working from a master plan. I really like working in an 80/20 or even 60/40 environment and seeing where it takes us and lean on my gut instinct to navigate when things get dicey.
