About Bhumika
Bio
Bhumika Jhamb is a scholar, classical dancer, and community leader who believes deeply in the power of ideas — and of the arts — to shape how we learn and grow. As the licensee and organizer of TEDxKST in Kota, she has built a platform that brings bold ideas to local audiences, curating speakers, coordinating teams, and creating experiences that spark genuine conversation and change.
Her journey into public ideas began early. A dedicated student of Kathak, one of India's classical dance forms, she completed her Bachelor's degree in the discipline at just 18 — a rare achievement that speaks to her discipline, artistry, and commitment to mastering a craft from a young age. That same rigor now shapes her academic path, as she pursues a PhD in the Humanities, exploring the intersections of literature, culture, and human expression.
What sets Bhumika apart is her ability to move fluidly between worlds — the analytical and the artistic, the traditional and the contemporary. Through TEDxKST, she has honed skills in public speaking, event leadership, mentorship, and audience engagement — skills that translate naturally into the classroom, where inspiring curiosity and confidence in young minds is the goal every day.
Rooted in Kota and driven by a passion for ideas worth spreading, Bhumika brings to any role a rare combination: academic depth, artistic sensibility, and hands-on experience building platforms where people and ideas can thrive.
