Bio
Roberta Mezzena is a biotechnologist completing her Ph.D. in nanosciences. Employed as a tech transfer specialist in life sciences, in her spare free time, she does dissemination on social media from 2018, explaining biomedical research to provide people the tools needed to distinguish fake news from real ones.
I'm passionate about
Interior Design and Technology, taking care of plants and learning their rhythm, hiking, explore caves, reading and listening to podcasts, but above all, about my extended family.

The TED story
It started in 2021 as a speaker coach for the first edition of TEDxLungarnoMediceo. The outgoing licensee asked me if I wanted to take his place, and I embarked on the venture with a capable group of allies, realizing the second edition a year later, in 2022. In 2023, I stepped aside to work on my doctoral thesis and returned five months before the event to provide as much support as possible to the organization.
