Dr. Marcela Uliano-Silva is a Senior Bioinformatician at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, specializing in genome assembly and bioinformatics. She plays a crucial role in the Darwin Tree of Life Project, focusing on creating chromosome-level genomes for various eukaryotic species in Britain and Ireland. Her expertise extends to the Vertebrate Genomes Project, where she contributes to sequencing the genome of the two-toed sloth.
