De La Rey Venter

De la Rey Venter is the EVP for Integrated Gas West & CCUS, accountable for Shell’s natural gas assets in Canada, Europe, North and Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, and also for Shell's global Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage portfolio. He started his career in the mining industry. Since joining Shell in 2002, he has held diverse positions around the world including VP Commercial in Qatar, EVP Gas & Power Africa, Global Head of LNG and EVP Upstream Joint Ventures. He holds degrees in Accounting, Finance and Investment Management and an MBA from IMD. De la Rey enjoys traveling and hiking with his wife and son, reading and all genres of classical music.
