Helen M Wilfehrt, PhD currently lives in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, but previously lived in many different places across the US and in Europe. An amateur ballroom dancer since 2014, Helen enjoys seeing how the interplay, a dance of sorts, between communication and neuroscience shows up in the world, for example in the greater understanding of how neurodiversity can manifest in the world and what it brings. Professionally, Helen is a director in medical affairs at Dendreon Pharmaceuticals, LLC, supporting training, real-world evidence (RWE) research, publication planning, and publication writing. She has over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug development working at both drug companies and consultancies, including Amgen Inc, Sanofi Oncology, DaVita Clinical Research, Covance Market Access, and IQVIA (formerly Quintiles). Helen is currently enrolled in the Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy online program at the University of Florida, to earn an MS in Pharmacy. She holds a PhD in Cellular & Integrative Biology (Neurobiology) from Northwestern University and a BS in Biomedical Engineering (Electrical Engineering) from Johns Hopkins University.
