Sue Natali

Sue is an Arctic climate change scientist whose focus on permafrost thaw is motivated by an acute awareness of the risks it poses in the Arctic and globally. She has conducted research in remote regions across the Arctic for more than a decade, seeing with her own eyes the changes happening as a result of climate change. She has published more than 75 academic papers, and contributed to hundreds of presentations for the public, scientists and policymakers (e.g., briefings on Capitol Hill and to COP). Sue leads Woodwell Climate Research Center’s Arctic Program, which investigates the drivers and consequences of rapid Arctic change.
