An expert in fusing American independent production techniques with Chinese cinema, Collea seamlessly blends Western and Eastern filmmaking styles. Over a decade of experience in China has seen Collea contribute to an array of productions for renowned companies such as Wanda, China Film Group, Ruyi Pictures, New Classics Media, Jiang Wen, Sony China, Filmko Pictures, and Le Flower Film. Additionally, Collea has lent his expertise to numerous other projects. As an educator, Collea has shared his knowledge at esteemed institutions like the Beijing Film Academy, Shanghai University/Shanghai Vancouver Film School, UCLA Extension, and was a founding instructor at China's 48 Hour Film School. In the 1980s and 90s, Collea founded Tenth Street Danceworks, at that time it was southwestern America’s leading modern dance company. As a producer, choreographer, and performer, Collea brought his captivating vision to stages worldwide. His artistic prowess was recognized through a multitude of national, state, and local grants that celebrated his exceptional contributions to the field.
