Charlotte Casebourne is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Theolytics, Ltd., a biotherapeutics company harnessing viruses to combat cancer. Together with her Co-Founders Doctor Margret Duffy, Professor Kerry Fisher and Professor Len Seymour they spun out their potentially curative technology from Oxford University in December 2017. Since January 2019, Charlotte has also been a Board Member at BIA, UK’s BioIndustry Association, representing over 300 member organizations including bioscience and pharmaceutical companies, academic, research and philanthropic organizations, and service providers. From October 2016 to October 2017 she was a Director and Co-Founder of New Medicine Partners, a strategic consultancy supporting health innovators to translate science and technology into effective clinical practice. Her work there encompassed projects for the governments of Singapore and Kazakhstan, as well as for Stanford University. From January 2015 to August 2015 Charlotte served as Managing Director and Founder of the London Hub of Health Tech Women, a community focused on providing the inspiration and support needed to empower innovators to impact the future of medical technologies. Before, since December 2014, she was the Chair for Healthcare and Medical Technologies of Hello Tomorrow, a network focused on inspiring scientists to enter entrepreneurship by connecting a global, multi-disciplinary network of stakeholders. Charlotte has been recognized as Forbes 30 under 30, 30 Rising Leaders in the Life Sciences, 35 Women under 35, as Finalist of Young Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as by the World Economic Forum as Curator, Global Shapers Network. Besides her professional and academic achievements, she won multiple UK National Championships in rowing. She holds a MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from University of Cambridge, a Bsc in Biomedical Science from King’s College London, and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
